Deputy Chairman of the MainCRO Gennadiy Dmytrenko, Chief of Public Internal Financial Control Harmonization Department Maryna Barynina, specialists of the MainCRO, Deputy Director of Department of the Ministry of Finance Igor Bugrak, representatives of the Third Component of Program «Millennium Challenges» Sara Lord and Robert Storch participated in "the round table", discussion held in the MainCRO’s office on the 23rd of June this year.

Importance of strengthening of function of the departmental control in the ministries and other central executive authorities, necessity of providing of  transparency, clearness, concreteness, and independence in activity of departmental inspectors were discussed during the meeting. Maryna Barynina noted if the Cabinet of Ministers would adopt the decree "On Internal Control and Revision Work in the System of Central Executive Authorities" it would in strengthen functions of departmental control. The draft of this decree was developed by Public Internal Financial Control Harmonization Department.

Next day the Deputy Chairman of the MainCRO Gennadiy Dmytrenko, Chief of Public Internal Financial Control Harmonization Department Maryna Barynina participated in a workshop concerning establishment of divisions of investigations and prevention of corruption and financial fraud in ministries and other central executive authorities.

During the meeting two documents were presented that caused brisk discussion among participants of workshop.

Gennadiy Dmytrenko presented the Decree of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine № 506 of 20.05.2009 "On Approving of the Procedure for Conducting of Public Financial Audit of Economic Operations by Bodies of the State Control and Revision Service of Ukraine ". In the presentation he noted that performance audit is directed on prevention of financial infringements and providing of the efficient use of budget funds, state-owned property.

Maryna Barynina acquainted the working group participants with the draft of the decree of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine "On Internal Control and Revision Work in the System of Central Executive Authorities", focusing on principally new provisions of this document which, in particular, extend authorities of  officials of control and revision divisions of ministries, other central executive authorities and consider requests of the Threshold Program of Corporation «Millennium Challenges» in regard to granting to the right to departmental inspectors conduct investigation within the framework of field control measures and to participate in office investigations (by decision of the chief of the corresponding body).
