Internal auditors of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Great Britain arrived to Kiev to conduct an audit of the British
Embassy in Ukraine for minimizing risks of errors and violations and to facilitate efficient use of funds.
So, on
initiative of advisor on defense of the Ministry of Defence
of Great Britain Steven Glover on 9 November this year foreign colleagues met
with representatives of the Ministry of Defence and
the MainCRO of Ukraine.
The
system of internal control and internal audit in public institutions of Great Britain was presented by Mark Hopkins, who
worked in control units of different ministries, and Chris Bowden, who has a
great experience of work in the Department of Internal Audit of the Ministry of
Defence of Great Britain. They also answered numerous
questions from the Ukrainian party.
Measures like this are very useful for future
internal auditors of the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine
and for the MainCRO, who passed trainings in the
framework of the Twinning project "Assisting the MainCRO
in implementing a new system of public internal financial control".
Such discussions facilitate more profound learning of the European experience and best practice and also help in development of
drafts of enactments, envisaged
by the Action Plan on implementation of
the Concept of PIFC Development till 2015 (approved by the Executive
Order of the Government of 22.10.2008 No. 1347-r)
