“Finish line” of the cycle of the internal audit training 13 July 2009

According to the Action Plan approved by the Governmental Executive Order of 22 October 2008 No. 1347-r and to the plan of the Twinning project implementation Assisting the MainCRO in implementing a new system of Public Internal Financial Control” the third stage of the internal audit training for officials of state authorities was completed in June-July 2009 on the MainCRO’s base.

On the whole in the context of the project implementation the so-called training course in internal audit, which was organized in three stages and on the whole lasted more than year, was attended by 53 officials of 36 state authorities.

During the final stage of training trainers Derek Anderson (the Northern Ireland) and Liam Fitzpatrick (Great Britain) gave an opportunity to participants of the seminar to acquire practical skills and to extend knowledge about audit process stages, development of control objectives and other matters of the professional activity.

Step by step the whole process of auditing was worked through on the basis of the “case” of one of five pilot projects conducted this year. Listeners had an opportunity to feel themselves practicing internal auditors owing to role games and they gladly performed tasks, took part in workshops.

 Deputy Chairman of the MainCRO Gennadiy Dmytrenko summed up the training and greeted future internal auditors with completion of the training course and wished not to stop on achieved on the way of mastering such not a simple profession.
