On the 17th of March
2010 representatives of the MainCRO
greeted delegation of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, which was presented by experts
from the Ministry of Finance: Mr. Jan van Tuinen, Mr. Peter Kleisen,
from the Agency for International Business and Cooperation: Mr. Joost Staffhorst, Ms. Rosalind Boscloo, from the National Academy for Finance and
Economics: Mr. Bas Verberne and also Ruslana Rudnytska. Experts of the
Netherlands Government visited the MainCRO for discussing the draft programme
on introduction of Public Internal Financial Control in Ukraine at the
regional level.
Chairman of the MainCRO Petro Andreyev personally greeted visitors.
He defined courses of work of the new Government
of Ukraine. Petro Andreyev underlined the importance of bilateral cooperation
and offered Dutch colleagues to consider possibility of participation in an
international audit of budget execution by the Government of Ukraine during
2009. Also Chairman of the MainCRO reminded about
successful implementation of the Twinning project in Ukraine.
Deputy Chairman of the MainCRO Ihor Stefaniuk, in his turn,
underlined the importance of conducting of jointly planned pilots and
activities and told about expectable results of the project implementation.
The Parties discussed the draft programme on introduction
of PIFC in Ukraine at the regional level, developed during previous work
meetings and decided that it is absolutely agreeable to the Parties' expects
and requirements within the framework of the cooperation.
Deputy Head of
the Department of PIFC Harmonization of the MainCRO Tetyana Borovkova briefly informed foreign visitors about basic steps
of the project
implementation and the features of the pilot projects introduction at the
regional level.
In the course of the meeting Chairman of the MainCRO Petro Andreyev signed an official letter to confirm
his plans on further fruitful cooperation within the framework of the project
implementation. Representatives of the MainCRO gave to foreign experts the
draft Memorandum of Understanding on Cooperation between the Main
Control and Revision Office of Ukraine and the Netherlands Ministry of Finance
for suggestions.
In
conclusions Chairman of the MainCRO Petro Andreyev expressed
Dutch experts an appreciation of their wish to support the MainCRO
in PIFC reforming and noted about the importance of such international
cooperation for further developing of public control in Ukraine.
